#45 - Money Compass

Money Compass

Jesus said in Matthew 6, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” I believe we can use money to lead our heart- almost like a compass.

This recently came up in a discussion my wife and I were having. She was talking about a cause that she is passionate about. I know God cares about the cause, but for some reason, I was not as stirred by that particular cause as I am by others.

My wife was discussing giving to support this cause, and the theme of Jesus's words came to my mind. I know this is something God cares about. I can probably lead my heart in a direction that I want it to go by giving to this cause.

My wife and I are currently researching organizations to see where to give. I know this whole process (researching and giving) will cause a positive shift in my heart.

Where we place our treasure, can change the direction of our hearts. This can be negative or positive. How can you use your money to change the direction of your heart?
