#47 - Christmas In July

Recently, I did a survey with clients. One of the questions I asked was how I could improve. More than one person mentioned they wanted to see the baby. Oddly enough, some people would rather read a personal update then about how the pandemic is affecting the workplace or mortgage rates. Consider this my mid-year Christmas card… cheesy, I know.

My wife and I still live in Fishers, Indiana with our son Wesley. Just recently, he turned one year old! This was a big milestone made complete with a family celebration and a smash cake.

Kids change rapidly- especially at this time in life. I remember the most exciting part of the day when he was just recently born was when he would yawn and stretch after waking up (which I did legitimately love). He is definitely more interactive now and is very quick to smile and laugh. It was so much fun picking out his birthday present and then playing with it with him.

In addition to Wesley's birthday, my wife and I also just recently celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary (which is crazy!). With the addition of Wesley, we don't have as much time to ourselves, but I made a New Year's Resolution of doing at least one date a month. So far, that is one resolution that is on track!

You can frequently find us exploring the state and city parks in the area. Yes, Indiana does have state parks (something a client in Colorado questioned). I am looking forward to exploring them in the fall as the leaves start changing.

The pandemic has had an impact on everyone, and we are no exception. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate, though that we have not dealt with the illness ourselves yet. My wife continues to work in the Emergency Room at a larger hospital in Indianapolis and sees patients frequently with the virus. You can keep her in your prayers!

To end on a good note, below are more pictures of the baby. I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
